BioThe daughter of Leto and Zeus, and the twin of the sun god Apollo, Artemis is the virginal goddess of the wilderness, the moon, the hunt and wild animals, fertility and childbirth. She is considered to be the guardian of young children and patron of women in childbirth. Armed with a bow and arrows made by Hephaestus, Artemis' primary vocation is to roam mountains, forests, and uncultivated land with her nymphs in attendance hunting for wild game.
